With AR and VR getting better every year, I’ve started to feel like we're unintentionally building the blueprint for understanding how layered or nested realities might actually function. When you're inside VR, the real world hasn't disappeared, it's just hidden behind another rendering layer.
That’s an interesting metaphor for how a multiverse or alternate reality might work. Maybe each “universe” is a layer on top of another, and with the right kind of perception (technological or otherwise) we could peek behind the veil.
It makes me wonder:
Is our drive to build immersive AR/VR experiences just our subconscious attempting to recreate (or remember?) how reality already functions?
